If anyone wants to know the reason that I am continuously posting messages urging people to examine themselves, that they may be sure they are in the faith, and that an awareness of false prophets increases; it is for very good reason.

In the wake of the God channel's decision to give almost constant coverage to the Florida outpouring, as it's labelled by their leaders, I have been shocked to the core at the reaction from the Body of Christ in general. Even though there are extremely concerning things to be examined in this "revival", especially by anyone wishing to test the spirits as the Bible teaches us, it seems as the whole church is rushing headlong to embrace this move, regardless of it's source! What's more, anyone exhorting caution is made out to be the anti-christ almost.

After spending a number of days reviewing much of what has been shared from this ministry, listening to excerpts of video from meetings etc., and reading through of some of the literature Todd Bentley and others previously released; I have come to a clear conclusion that things are most definitely NOT alright. And anyone wishing to enter into fellowship with the spiritual forces at work through this ministry, need to be on their highest alert!

Take a listen yourself. Take a read yourself. You will find virtually no scriptural confirmation for what is happening, but rather a proud and arrogant boast that the miracles are evidence in themselves. This is simply not the truth with regard to the Word of God, and any Christian who professes to know the Truth must accept this foundational truth first and foremost.

"If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul."
(Deu 13:1-3 KJVR)

From way back when in the times of Moses, you can see similar acknowledgement that miracles, and I'm talking of genuine miraculous events, CAN be performed at the hands of those against the Lord God, whether knowingly or out of ignorance. It this were not so, how can we receive such clear warnings from the Old Testament, and on into the New Testament also:

"Then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ! Or, There! Do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders; so much so that, if it were possible, they would deceive even the elect. Behold, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they shall say to you, Behold, He is in the desert! Do not go out. Behold, He is in the secret rooms! Do not believe it."

and also:

"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who secretly will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their pernicious ways, and because of them the way of truth will be evil spoken of. And through covetousness they will use you for gain with well-turned words; for whom judgment from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not sleep."

and finally:

"Therefore by their fruits you shall know them. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!"

My exhortation to all is this: Know the Lord intimately! This will only come through effort on your behalf, and a determination to die to yourself in every part of your life. It will mean praying when you don't feel like it, reading His Word when you cannot be bothered, and desiring to put all other things on hold until you complete the things that you know He wants you to do first. There are no short cuts!! There are no places on earth or in heaven that you may travel to, regardless of whether or not you think it in faith, that you will find a new move of God manifest in your life, unless you attend to the basic principles of your faith in Jesus Christ first!

"Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Or do you not yourselves perceive that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are disapproved?"
